Meet Lindsay!
Hi! I'm Lindsay. I'm a mom of two girls under 5 with experience in event planning through my career as a Children's Librarian. I have lived in the Northeast US for most of my life before moving to Michigan pregnant with my first daughter.
I've worked at libraries for over a decade, and love doing special events. My highlights are Touch a Trucks, Winter Holiday Events, and Special Parties (Toy Story, Bluey, etc).
After having my second daughter, I realized it was too chaotic to juggle a non-traditional job with evenings and weekends. I wanted more flexibility, and also to focus more on what brings me joy - parties, thrifting decor, and helping make events magical and easy.
Our Story
Why Mitten Moments? I love planning parties, but have struggled with the idea of STORING all of those big things. I wanted to create an all-in-one experience to give you a great event without storing, curating, and creating all of the pieces yourself. Each party setup is one that I've carefully selected or made myself.
I also have many friends who want to have a fun event, but are so busy! Life with little kids or having a new baby means that you're always moving. I want to help you to actually enjoy your child's first birthday party.
